Bagangte

Bangangté is a town in Cameroon known to be the capital of the Ndé division of West Region. The town is primarily inhabited by the people of the Bamileke (Bamiléké) tribe.

It is home to the Université des Montagnes, a small private university focusing on health and technology programs. Bagangte is the birthplace of retired Army Captain Timothe Yabit, Business Man Claude le Parisien, Insurance Broker, Joseph Feumba, Bank Leumi executive Dr. John Chato , Health Care Practitioner, Bertine Yabit Same Etame of Los Angeles, RN Jeanette Chimi and CPA Eugenie Antonelli of Orange County, California.

Bus agencies to and from Bafoussam, Douala and Yaoundé have buses that leave several times in a day.

There are two main markets in Bangangté: Marché A and B. Marché A is located in the center of the town and is open 7 days a week. It trades in a variety of fresh produce, clothing, basic hardware supplies and electronics.

Marche B on the contrary is located in a neighborhood south of the town center and is open Wednesdays and Saturdays. It generally has the same types of goods as Marché A, but it’s patronized by many more vendors making trade here highly competitive thus prices may be lower.
