Cameroon’s Trade Ministry has announced in a statement to APA on Tuesday, confirming the withdrawal from the local shelves of goods by American chocolatier “Mars”.The timespan for its products run from June 19, 2016 to January 8, 2017.
The brands affected are Balisto, Bounty, Celebrations, Dove, Mars, Milky Way, Snickers, Twix, Skittles and M & M’S.
The ministry said the measure was taken after the chocolatier decided to remove its products from several countries.
This followed the discovery by a consumer, of a small piece of plastic in one of the confectionery giant’s products.
