The Cameroon FA president and Roger Milla visited France to convince some players, including Umtiti to join the Indomitable Lions, according to L'Equipe.

After his performance at the U20 World Champion in 2013 with the team of France, the central defender from Olympique Lyonnais, Umtiti Samuel (22 years, 12 games in Ligue 1 this season) would logically embody the future of the Blues to the post.

Also, if Coach Didier Deschamps is not yet ready to integrate him to his group, Lyonnais remains a talented young player.

Determined to play for France, the defender has declined the proposal of the African selection, for now.
